Dr Rob Mirabelli - Pediatric Dentist
Dr. Rob Mirabelli was born and raised in Scarsdale, New York. Growing up, Dr. Rob was a competitive swimmer, which he continued to enjoy into his college years. He received his collegiate education at Columbia University in New York City. Dr. Rob graduated cum laude with a B.A. in Biology. In addition to swimming, his extracurricular activities included tutoring elementary and middle school students, teaching swim lessons to youngsters and working as camp counselor.
After college, Dr. Rob attended Harvard School of Dental Medicine in Boston and graduated cum laude. While in dental school, he volunteered as a Big Brother and went on a medical/dental mission to Peru. It was during dental school that Dr. Rob met Dr. Jen.
Upon graduation from dental school, Dr. Rob and Dr. Jen moved to Seattle to attend the University of Washington for additional dental specialty training. Dr. Rob completed a two-year Pediatric Dental Residency, working both at the university and at Seattle Children’s Hospital and Regional Medical Center. He graduated as a specialist in pediatric dentistry and received a Master of Science degree. Dr. Rob is a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry, is a staff member of Phoenix Children's Hospital, and has served as weekly clinical faculty for Phoenix's only pediatric dentistry residency - a program administered by NYU - Lutheran Dental Medicine. As faculty, Dr. Rob supervised the residents' clinical education in sedation dentistry.
In addition to his time at CPDO, Dr. Rob continues to serve every week at the Parsons Center for Pediatric Dentistry at Murphy, an non-profit organization affiliated with Brighter Way Institute. The Parsons Center is a no-cost and low-cost dental clinic that serves uninsured at-risk children in South Phoenix.
Dr. Rob also participates in another non-profit organization, one started by Dr. Stefanie called SOHO - Special Oral Health Outreach (sohodentalaz.org). Through this organization, Dr. Rob and Dr. Stefanie provide dental care to both behaviorally and medically special needs children throughout the valley. Dr. Rob and Dr. Stefanie coordinate closely with the transplant team at Phoenix Children’s hospital to ensure that all children pending organ or bone marrow transplantation have their dental needs met prior to surgery.
Dr. Rob has been voted a "Top Pediatric Dentist" by his peers Phoenix Magazine "Top Dentist" issue.
